I'm giving Tumblr another go and so far I like it. I might not post here for a very long time, so until then, just go to my Tumblr instead. Here's why.
Id Loom started as a public artist a couple of months ago, but really has been creating sounds for 10+ years. I'm nearly finished releasing everything from my hard drives, which means I will soon be "live" with what I'm making.
I have no interest in creating tracks and holding onto them so that I can release them in chunks. I would much rather release tracks as I make them, and then perhaps compile them later. Tumblr is really easy to use for that purpose.
Here is a noise track I made yesterday:

Id Loom on KALX
Perhaps the downside of connecting to so many social networks is that sometimes good bits of information can fall through the cracks. I forgot to check my Facebook page for a few days. This morning, I finally took a look at it and was surprised to learn that KALX played my track This Other Land on their "Next Big Thing" program on Monday. It would have been great to hear it when it happened, but that does not detract from the gratitude I feel for the station that really spawned my beginning. Thank you, KALX. It might have just been one play to you, but it was a monumental milestone for Id Loom.

Two things. First, my EP This Other Land is now available for streaming/downloading today:
Second, I started up another blog that will be dedicated to posting mixtapes of odd and strange sounds, and then maybe branch out to odd sounds generally.
I wanted to start up a mixtape project because I met a lot of interesting artists through my release of Sonic Bungalow. The mixtape project will allow me to keep in touch with a type of music I am slowly drifting away from.
Once This Other Land is fully released, I will begin finalizing the tracks for an entirely different, full length album. I am very excited about that one.
Also, "like" me on Facebook and/or follow me on Twitter to get my regular updates and rambles

Id Loom is now on Bandcamp
Great news: Id Loom finally has a Bandcamp page. The only available album at the moment is Sonic Bungalow.
I labored over this album, but you can have it for free, or name your own price.
I am also in the process of putting together a mixtape which features many artists I enjoy listening to. I will be launching a separate blog to post that and future mixtapes. I will also use that blog generally to post tracks by artists that I really enjoy. I will maintain this blog for Id Loom matters only.
I am also preparing the release of some new materials, which I will post here when it is ready.

A Brief Introduction
Hello and welcome. This is Id Loom's place. Id Loom originated in Berkeley, CA sometime in 2002 as an ontological experiment. As years passed, a library of sounds accumulated. In April 2012 the decision was made to begin the release of Id Loom's material.
The first release of Id Loom was To: Atlantis. Recorded primarily during the Fall of 2011, it represents a middle ground between what Id Loom was, and what Id Loom is becoming. This was made available sometime in early April, 2012, and can be streamed below:
With To: Atlantis marking Id Loom's arrival, it seemed appropriate to fill in some back story of Id Loom prior to moving forward. Id Loom's beginnings were disorganized and uncertain. Recordings came and went. Most of them fell into one unnamed folder of a now-dead hard drive. The files were always saved, somehow, and eventually the decision was made to give them proper order.
From the depths, these recordings were finally mastered and sequenced in March of 2012. Nearly all were originally produced between the years 2002 and 2006. Together, these tracks comprise the album Sonic Bungalow, which may be streamed below, (and purchased at Bandcamp, if you please).
Keep in touch to hear new material from Id Loom. 2012 will prove to be a prolific year. Id Loom is currently planning to follow To: Atlantis with the release of an EP very soon, and the release of an album by Fall 2012.
